A hotel as a gallery

Impressive portraits
At the MUZE Hotel Düsseldorf – Handwritten Collection, art is an integral part of the hotel. The open gallery concept extends throughout the entire hotel, making every area a place of inspiration.
Under the title "A Voyage Within," we present a permanent exhibition that invites you on a creative journey. The artworks accompany our guests through the lobby, hallways, public spaces, and hotel rooms, creating an atmosphere that blends design, culture, and hospitality.
The art at MUZE is not merely decorative, but an integral part of the experience. It invites guests to pause, discover details, and gain new perspectives – perfectly reflecting the hotel's creative spirit.

A Voyage Within

Under the title "A Voyage Within," the MUZE Hotel presents a special artistic collaboration. The works combine contemporary photography with traditional techniques such as fabric dyeing and intricate embroidery. Photographs by Vangelis Kyris, printed on fabric, are complemented by the detailed embroideries of artist Anatoli Georgiev, thus gaining an additional, vibrant dimension.
The expressive portraits reflect the photographer's impressions and experiences from his travels – both real and imagined. The exhibition is curated by Erica Vassiliou, whose passion for art informs this creative collaboration. Together, they create a visual journey where photography, texture, and craftsmanship merge in a unique way.

Vangelis Kyris

Photographer Vangelis Kyris is considered a defining figure in the Greek fashion scene. With his unique artistic vision and unwavering commitment to the highest quality, he has profoundly influenced the visual aesthetic of numerous magazines. Instead of following trends, his work always centers on his own creative vision. His photographic journey has taken him from fashion photography to portraiture and new forms of visual expression. He finds inspiration in art, culture, and personal experiences from his travels – both real and imagined.
For several years he has enjoyed a close artistic collaboration with the artist Anatoli Georgiev. This creative dialogue also led to their joint work on the exhibition pieces, which uniquely combine photography and traditional craftsmanship.

Anatoli Georgiev

The artist Anatoli Georgiev was born in Bulgaria and discovered his passion for creative expression at an early age. His talent was evident even as a child – an embroidered dove made a lasting impression on his teacher.
Over the years, he has further developed his artistic style and today combines traditional embroidery with modern design ideas. Since 2014, he has worked closely with photographer Vangelis Kyris, lending the works in the exhibition "A Voyage Within" a special depth and texture with his detailed embroideries.

Bereits kurze Zeit später organisierte sie die erste gemeinsame Ausstellung und begleitet seitdem die Weiterentwicklung des Projekts „A Voyage Within“.
